Visiting restrictions lifted at Lakes DHB hospitals

Lakes DHB is committed to keeping its hospitals, clinics and other sites safe for everyone, while at the same time recognising the important role visitors play in the healing process.

Visiting at Rotorua and Taupo Hospitals is now returning to 10am-8pm daily.

To help us all play our part, all visitors are asked to please:
• Keep a track of where you’ve been and who you’ve seen – the QR codes and a contact tracing app can assist with this, or alternatively a contact tracing log is available at the front entrance of each hospital.
• Practice good hand hygiene, washing your hands or using the available hand sanitisers.
• Wear a face covering
• Do not visit if you are unwell
• Practice physical distancing while on hospital grounds. Some of our patient and clinic areas are small, please consider if you really need to visit and be aware of others’ need for space.
• Visitors are important for patients’ recovery, but so is rest.

Those people coming to hospital for an outpatient appointment will continue to be pre-screened for potential risk of COVID-19, ahead of their appointment.

Lakes DHB is grateful for your support as we continue to make adjustments for COVID-19.
