NZNO nurses, healthcare assistants and some midwives plan to strike from 7am to 11pm on Tuesday 2 September and 7am to 11pm on Thursday 4 September. Patient safety is our priority and our hospitals will remain open. Continue to attend all appointments unless we have contacted you directly to reschedule.

Services we provide
For people under 65
The disability support services team is made up of service coordinators and needs assessors who have extensive experience in meeting the needs of persons aged 0 to (and including) 65 who require support.
Services we provide include:
identify people's strengths and support needs
outline what disability support services are available
determine their eligibility for government-funded support services.
You may be eligible for disability support if you have:
intellectual disabilities
physical disabilities
sensory disability
autistic spectrum disorder.
The services we contract for are:
personal care
home help — for people with a current community service card
individualised funding
residential services
respite
shared care and contract board.
For people over 65
Health of Older People provides needs assessment and service coordination for people with age-related disability lasting longer than 6 months who meet eligibility for publicly funded services.
We use the interRAI tool to assess a person’s needs and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the person.
