NZNO nurses, healthcare assistants and some midwives plan to strike from 7am to 11pm on Tuesday 2 September and 7am to 11pm on Thursday 4 September. Patient safety is our priority and our hospitals will remain open. Continue to attend all appointments unless we have contacted you directly to reschedule.

Kenepuru Community Hospital.
Opening hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Services we provide
The oral health service provides specialist treatment and advice on treatment for people with oral health conditions beyond what general practice dentists can treat.
Comprehensive dental care is provided for:
people with particular mental, physical or intellectual needs
people needing dental treatment that cannot be provided in the private sector
situations where the backup facilities of a hospital are required.
Where appropriate, dental care under general anaesthetic is provided for tamariki or people with particular requirements.
Fees
Part charges are made for almost all treatments. Exceptions include:
tamariki
rangatahi
people receiving acute care
people receiving dental care while an inpatient.
Charges are lower than those in private practice. You will be asked to pay any charges on the day you receive treatment. If you require a form so you can request assistance from Work and Income, talk with our receptionist.
For Community Service Card holders
We provide a limited service for patients who live in the region, have toothache and have difficulty accessing care from the private sector because of costs. This service is available to people with a Community Services Card.
To access the service, call us at 8am for an appointment on the day (weekdays only). Limited appointments are available.
Dental care for young people
Basic dental care is free in Aotearoa New Zealand for tamariki (children) from birth until they turn 18. Enrol your child as early as possible and keep taking them for regular dental check-ups.
