Who the service is for
Respite and recovery houses provide a welcoming place where people with mental health problems can rest and recover in a home-like environment.
Trained staff are available 24 hours a day to support you.
You may need respite and recovery if you:
- need a break away from your home
- are transitioning out of a hospital mental health facility
- need a place to prevent further distress and a possible admission to hospital.
The length of stay is flexible, but usually people stay for 2 or 3 days.
