Celebrating Allied Health Professionals Day

Today is Allied Health Professionals Day where we celebrate and bring together the allied health professional community.

There are at least 43 professions that make up the allied health, scientific and technical workforce in New Zealand and at Te Whatu Ora Lakes there are more than 300 people who work in this field.

Director Allied Health Joe Monkhouse says allied health professionals play a vital role in providing our community with safe, effective, quality and timely care across many pathways.
