Preventing ear infections

Keep your nose clear. When you have mucus in your nose use a tissue.

Two or three blows may not clear all the mucus from the nose.

When you blow your nose it is best to blow five or six times.

Blowing your nose will assist with glue ear prevention.

Blow your nose…

  • When you get up in the morning
  • Before you go to school or daycare
  • While you’re at school
  • When you get home from school
  • Before you go to bed

How to blow…

  1. Breathe in through your mouth
  2. Close lips tightly
  3. Blow out firmly into your tissue
